plusMINT ring lecture: nanotechnology company Raith GmbH

On Wednesday, 30.11.22, the Raith company will present itself as a hidden champion and world market leader in nanofabrication as part of the plusMINT ring lecture at 4:30 pm. All students from MINT courses at the University of Kassel are welcome to attend. The lecture series will take place in presence at Arnold-Bode-Str. 12, lecture hall 4 (location HoPla).

About the Raith company:
The Raith Group is headquartered just under 2 hours' drive west of Kassel, in Dortmund. Raith is the world market leader for nanofabrication equipment, which is required in many areas of research and development, as well as small batch production of specialized semiconductor and optical components. Raith maintains branches in all major industrial and research nations. International employees, often with academic training, develop, build, deliver and maintain the highly complex equipment. About the speaker:
Dirk Brüggemann studied physical engineering at the Märkische Fachhochschule, Iserlohn, until 1989 and got to know the then still small, family-run  company as part of his application-related diploma thesis. When he started working as a sales engineer, he was able to complete a part-time degree in industrial engineering at the FH Dortmund. In 2000, he took over responsibility for worldwide sales, marketing and applications, with power of attorney as a member of the management and partner of the company. Today, the company employs approx. 320 people worldwide.
