8,000 guests at the campus festival

Around 650 guests watched his performance in the packed auditorium. Other guests watched the broadcast in an additional lecture hall. Neumeier had set out to make fun of the 17 SDG goals of the United Nations, but only got as far as the fifth goal (gender equality), which he used as an opportunity to make a vehement plea for gender equality.

At the campus festival, numerous scientists provided insights into their research, for example during guided tours of a VR laboratory at the Institute of Architecture or the robotics laboratory at the Department of Human-Machine Systems Engineering. Numerous presentations were also very well received. For example, scientists from the INCHER university research center reported on how they advise the Federal Chancellor.

"We are introducing ourselves to the region with this festival" - with these words, University President Prof. Dr. Ute Clement opened the campus festival. Lord Mayor Sven Schoeller took up the remark and spoke of the university as an important driving force in the city. Hessian Science Minister Timon Gremmels later called the university "the best thing that could have happened to the region" in a short speech on the Knowledge Stage.

A large part of the program took place outside in the sunshine. Late in the evening, there were performances by the bands Handsomest and Rosmarin. Immediately before the opening of the festival, Moritzstraße was officially inaugurated across the campus.
