Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

The Humboldt Foundation offers funding for researchers from abroad to conduct research projects in Germany. The funding portfolio includes fellowships of 6-24 months from postdoc level onwards, professorships of up to 5 years, and awards for internationally recognised researchers.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

'Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions' European Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF) enhance the creative and innovative potential of excellent researchers of any nationality holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA PF are open to researchers moving within Europe or who wish to come to Europe from any country in the world. The standard duration of MSCA PF fellowships is between 12 and 24 months.

ERC Grants support individual excellent and independent researchers of any nationality and from all scientific disciplines. The selection criteria for ERC grants is the scientific quality of the project proposals and the applicants. ERC Starting, Consolidator and Advanced Grants are each available for a five-year period.
