Engineers Without Borders Challenge: Development of sustainable product solutions

Teaching with practical relevance and social added value? In the project 3 Engineers without Borders Challenge: Development of sustainable product solutions , you will learn important product development techniques based on a real-life problem. Together with your team, you will manage your project and put it into practice in the workshop.
The best ideas will be presented at a national conference and will later be implemented in countries of the global South.

• Product development: You are confronted with a real problem for which you have to develop a technical solution. You will go through various product development phases and have to reconcile the requirements of different stakeholders.
• Project management: The best technical solution is not always the one that is implemented in the end. Often these cannot be realized with the available resources. With this in mind, you will deepen your knowledge of project management and practise developing your product within a limited time frame and with a defined budget.
• Competition: Compete against other university teams and present your product solution at a national conference.
• Development cooperation: The best concepts are then implemented by the Engineers without Borders in their partner countries. For this, it is necessary to take intercultural conditions into account and to ensure the feasibility and acceptance of the product in the partner country.
